Bold, colourful, spiritual and impressionistic best describe the work of Candace Slack.

Candace is a painter, photographer and artist in mixed media who works with oil, oil on canvas, and pastel on vellum and paper.

In her work with oils and mixed media her subjects are abstract while landscapes and figurative themes inspire her photography.

Candace’s artistic enjoyment lies in choosing a medium that strongly expresses an idea or arouses interest. She also equally enjoys creating compositions that are just playful or experimental.

Candace earned her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Ontario’s University of Guelph. Since 1989 she has held many individual exhibitions and participated in numerous juried and group exhibitions across Canada. In 1996 she received an award from a University of Guelph Juried Exhibition. Her photographs have been featured in various publications.

Candace splits her time between the William’s Mill and her home studio in Halton Hills.
