Endeavoring to "reuse" as much recycled material as possible, Carmen creates statements in time. Brief moments of truth and captured emotions are assembled into 3 dimensional collages using today's discarded treasures. Her assemblages are both thought provoking and hopeful but mostly they give new life to objects once deemed useless. Prepare to see the world around you with a new vision. Born in Europe into a multicultural family during the second half of the last century. Raised on two continents in two languages. Educated here, there, and everywhere but eventually graduating from a formal art programme in Canada. Work career spanning the military to corporate art direction again here, there, and everywhere. Presently residing in Canada where there seems to be an endless supply of material just waiting to be recycled into art.
