Mary Ellen Farrow sculpts almost exclusively in stone including limestone, marble, alabaster, soapstone, plus cement and bronze. She produces abstract garden sculptures, contemporary art pieces for the home, gifts, and award presentations.

Using broad, rounded, rhythmic lines that conform to the natural character of the stones, Mary Ellen’s figures are inspired by contemporary, abstract and non-representational themes. Rather than explain her work, she invites individual interpretation to pieces that are tactile, and show movement and emotion.

Mary Ellen has shown her work in many juried art shows and public galleries in Canada.  Her work can be found internationally. Public commissions include pieces for the City of Mississauga, and Brampton City Hall.

Mary Ellen is a member of the Sculptors Society of Canada and the Ontario Society of Artists.  She continues to perfect her talents through art classes with noted sculptors and artists.
