A Walk In The Glen
Nestled on the banks of the Credit Williams, the hamlet of Glen Williams
has provided inspiration for artists working in many media. Currently
showing in the Williams Mill Visual Art Center's gallry, "A Walk In The
Glen" is a selection of forty paintings by five of the Williams Mill's
painters; Ken Logue, Simon MacDonald, Margaret Peter, Candace Slack and Jo
Walterson. The artists chose scenes in the village to create brilliant
works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, and pen and ink. Unique synergies have
been created when a single subject has been tackled by two of the artists,
rendering different perspectives. The subjects themselves range from the
heritage buildings, to everyday street scenes, to views of the Credit River.
The show runs until October 12. The Gallery is open from noon until 5 P.M.;
Wednesday through Sunday. Click here for an e-card.

A Solo art exhibition
by
Lucille Weber
Opening reception Saturday and Sunday, April 4th and 5th, noon to 5 pm. The artists will be present both days. Click here for an e-invite.
Lucille gave up her day job ten years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Life experiences, travel, and a wicked imagination have fueled her creativity. She is always ready to explore, change media and take risks as she moves from canvas to board to paper. Of the various tools she uses, her favorite is her gloved hand. “I use my hand to dab, smooch, and move the paint on the surface, and the paint seems to flow out of my fingertips. It’s magic!”
The show continues until April 26th.

SPACES - Embraced
This show is a collaboration between Sonja Mortimer and Candace Slack. Sonja Mortimer works with a variety of media; she has a fascination with structure and ordered space whether natural or man-made. Candace's recent body of work is narrative based; she's combined three loves - photography, painting and motorcycling, to produce a series of paintings based on photos describing a motorcycle event that takes place in Port Dover, Ontario, on Friday the 13th.
You're probably wondering, 'Who is Sonja Mortimer?" Sonja is Candace's grade 8 homeroom Art Teacher! Sonja and Candace are embracing the 35 years, which seems like just a little SPACE in time, since they last crossed paths. Sonja and Candace rediscovered each other last spring at the John Sommer Juried Art Exhibition, and have joined their creative abilities for this exhibition.
Please come and bring your friends and/or ex-teachers and enjoy this most recent body of works from two artists who are renewing a friendship from long ago. Click here for details and directions.
