Darlene Hartung

Sketch Artist

Darlene Hartung has been teaching art for many years and loves nothing more than sharing her love of drawing. Seeing her passion for art come alive for others when they see what they can do is very rewarding for her.  Darlene believes there is an artist in most people they just have to learn to let it out.

Darlene works with pencil and feels a challenge to bring the most detail possible out of an image.  Each project to her is like a good book and she feels the same disappointment when it is completed as you do when you come to the last page of a really of a book that really captivated you.

Darlene works with many Real Estate agents in Ontario creating client gifts for them when they have long-term customers that are downsizing.  She also has found that many people like to have a drawing created of their canine and feline family members.  She feels honoured each time she is asked to do this for a family as it is often after they have lost them they decide to get it done. There is something very special about being their friend alive for them on paper.
