Jenanne Longman

Ceramic Artist

Jenanne Longman graduated  from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University in 2007 with her Bachelor of Fine Art degree.  Jenanne moved to Ontario in 2007 for a ceramic residency at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. She now resides in Glen Williams and joined Williams Mill Creative Art Studios in 2020, where you can find her studio nestled in the courtyard gardens. Her ceramics have been shown in various galleries and exhibitions nationally.  

Jenanne’s ceramics are focused on design and utility. Her work incorporates wheel throwing, casting and hand-building techniques. She takes inspiration from her surroundings, whether it is the shifting urban landscape; architecture old and new, or the meadows in the Glen where she now finds herself. Experimentation with surface and design construction are important considerations in her work. Jenanne’s work reflects the value of the handmade object and how our daily rituals are impacted by the environment that we live in.
