Sheri Tenaglia

Pastel & Mixed Media Artist, Illustrator & Art Instructor

Teaching

Sheri brings over 34 years of experience teaching art from beginner to professional levels. She currently offers adult and teen classes, as well as private and semi-private instruction, both in her top-floor studio in the yellow building at the Williams Mill Creative Arts Studios and through online classes.

Classes are designed for adults and teens aged 15 and up, ranging from novice to advanced levels. Instruction includes drawing fundamentals and exploration of a variety of mediums, including graphite, conte, soft pastel, pan, watercolour, acrylic, mixed media in both 2D and 3D, to name a few….

Sheri also offers portfolio development classes for students preparing to apply to university or college design and art programs. These classes are designed to help secondary students build strong portfolios for admission into programs such as fine arts, architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design, and other creative and design discipline programs. It is recommended that students begin in Grade 11 to allow sufficient time to develop a strong and successful portfolio.

Additionally, Sheri helps students finalize presentation-ready portfolios for online submissions and in-house interviews with post-secondary faculty.

All classes are beginner-friendly, while also accommodating intermediate and advanced students.

Classes are ongoing, with the exception of civic holidays.

Beyond teaching, Sheri is also available for commercial illustration work and commissioned artwork, including high-quality portraiture.
