My art explores the notion of the innate abundance of love in every living thing in order to highlight the importance of appreciating the little things; finding conventional and unconventionally beautiful things, a bouquet of flowers or the patterns and colours of a mesh bag of clementine’s, there’s beauty in everything if you’re looking for it. This is explored through intimate, detailed brush strokes in extremely bright and colourful portraits. As well as themes of nostalgia and childhood; I believe children have a very admirable and innocent view of the world, and we could all stand to keep up a little more childlike wonder in our adult lives. My art is a reflection of who I am at my core; I portray a colourful world in order to cope with my own mental health as well as to uplift and bring more positivity to others.
